Terms and Conditions
Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully before placing your order with Dash Cakes, by using the Dash Cakes service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.For all cakes ordered, full payment is required on booking. Payment can be made via credit card, debit card, cash or Afterpay. Orders will not be taken unless paid
in full.
Orders are to be collected during regular business trading hours as per the Dash Cakes
website.
We do not offer delivery of cakes. Cookies are available via Australia Post.
Please ensure all contact details, personal information, spelling of names, design requirements, delivery/collection details and any other details have been properly documented on your cake booking form. You must notify Dash Cakes via phone or email immediately of any errors.
All cancellations or changes must be received in writing via email at orders@dashcakes.com.au
If you change the date of your order 14 days prior to delivery we will endeavour to move your order to the new date, pending availability.
Where the date is changed more than once, a $50 administration fee is payable for every change of date there after.
If your order is cancelled 7 days prior to delivery a $100 cancellation fee will apply.
If your order is cancelled within 7 days of delivery, the whole order fee is forfeit.
However, if Dash Cakes have to cancel the order with you for any particular reason due to health, family or situations out of our control, a full refund will be provided to you, as well as assistance in finding a suitable decorator with similar experience to complete your order.
Changes must be made in writing and we prefer at least 14 days notice be given. Where your order has custom items (ie; cake topper, hand made florals or figurines) these cannot be altered once Dash Cakes has begun production of the items.
Dash Cakes pride ourselves on the quality of our products and services, all of our ingredients are of the highest quality. It is important to remember that cakes are a perishable and delicate product.
Once the product has left our care and you have taken possession/delivery of the product we cannot take responsibility for any damage that may occur due to incorrect transport or storage.
If for any reason you cake becomes damaged after it has left our care we take no responsibility, however, if you request an emergency call out, we will endeavour to restore the cake to its original presentation for an agreed fee.
It is important to note that all cakes are made on premises where nuts are used, while every care is taken to keep ingredients separate all cakes may contain traces of nuts.
While we offer a range of options for specific dietary requirements, all items are produced in an area that also has nuts, soy, gluten and dairy. While every care is taken, we cannot guarantee our items are completely free of these products.
Fondant cakes – fondant is not designed to be refrigerated, and as such, cakes with this icing should be stored in a cool dry place, out of direct sunlight, preferably in the box it was supplied it. Refrigeration may cause colours to run/bleed. Failure to store the cake correctly may result in colours fading, cracks or melting.
Buttercream cakes – cakes covered in buttercream will be very sensitive to high temperatures and should be refrigerated where possible.
Please be aware that all photographs taken of your cakes by Dash Cakes remain the property of Dash Cakes.
Dash Cakes reserves the right to take and use photographs of your cake(s) and desserts before, during and after set up, to use for marketing, advertising and promotional purposes, without compensation to you.
As each cake is unique, so too are your special requirements and concerns surrounding your order.
If there is an issue, please contact us immediately with any concerns you may have.
You must refrigerate or freeze the cake immediately and return it to us the next business day if we are to consider any refunds at all.
Please note, that colours on a computer screen will vary from the actual product and may not be a true representation of the actual product.
While we strive to produce your order to specification, please note that cake decorating is an art form and, as such, we cannot guarantee exact replicas.
The products we use are often delicate and subject to fragility in certain weather, we may, during changes in temperature and humidity need to change aspects of a design.
Dash Cakes will not disclose any personal information such as your name, address, email or telephone number to any person outside of the company, unless the customer has authorised us to do so, or unless required by law to disclose such information.
Furthermore, under no circumstances will Dash Cakes sell or receive payments or services for disclosing customers personal information to any partner or external company.
